Alice Florence (Maher) Craik, of Miramichi, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 99.

Born in Craigville, she was the daughter of the late James and Lucinda (Doyle) Maher. She was a homemaker and a member of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of the C.W.L., Women's Auxiliary, and the Miramichi Senior Citizens Club.

She will be greatly missed by her three sons James (Marilyn) of Angus, Ontario, Wayne of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland, and Kevin of Litchfield, New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Kitchener; son Cecil Ronald; daughter Sheila Ann Balliet; brothers Cecil, Leonard, Frank, Percy, and Douglas; and sisters Innez and Mary.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 15, 2016, at 10 am, from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St Mary's Restoration Fund, or to a memorial of one's choice.
