Alice MacDonald 1925-2019

Alice MacDonald of Monarch Hall and formerly of Robinson Street passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2019 after a short illness.

Born in Barnaby River, NB, she was the daughter  of Angus MacDonald and Victoria Grennan.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a half sister, Monica MacDougal - Beil and a niece, Dorothea Beil both of British Columbia.

She was employed by Colpitts the Stationer for many years. She was a member of Saint Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Saint Bernard's C.W.L., and the M.C.A. Curling Club.

She is survived by three nieces, Mary Beil of Vancouver Island, Julie Williams (Daryl) of Aggasiz BC , Colleen Cameron (Arnie) of Edmonton AB. and one nephew, Andrew Beil (Deb) of Kamloops BC. She is also survived by her loving extended family, the MacMillans, Dale (Virginia) of Miramichi NB, Karen Reynolds (Mike) of Edmonton AB, Blake (Merita) of Miramichi NB, Colin (Georgina) of Moncton NB, Mark (Lorna) of Halifax NS. Special friends, Doreen Vautour, Garth and Simone Berry, Maria Cormie, Ria Vrensen and Sister Irene who ensured Alice got to Mass every Sunday.

The MacMillan Family would like to thank the staff of Monarch Hall for the great care provided to Alice, especially Jen who went above and beyond in her role as a caregiver.

Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview N.B. on Sunday, March 24, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton N.B. on Monday March 25, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow in the Church Hall.

Burial will take place in the Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Barnaby River N.B. at a later date.
