Alonzo Wilson Connors, of Upper Blackville, passed away surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, July 14, 2010, at the Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 84.
Born in Upper Blackville, he was the son of the late Goldie Colford. Alonzo was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church and also a member of the Miramichi Salmon Association.
Alonzo is survived by his wife Phyllis; four daughters Joy Furlong (Louis) of Doaktown, Lorenda Furlong (Richard) of Doaktown, Sharon Turriff (Terry MacLeod) of Dawson Settlement, and Twila Donahue (Troy) of Blackville; two sons Eugene (Linda) of Blackville, and Troy (Stacey) of Doyles Brook; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous brothers and sisters from Connors and Colford families.
The family received relatives and friends from New Life United Pentecostal Church, in Blackville, on Thursday, July 15, 2010, from 7 to 9, and on Friday, July 16, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 2 pm from New Life Pentecostal Church, in Blackville, with Reverend McNair officiating. Interment will take place following the funeral in the church cemetery.
