Alvina Marie Chiasson, of Rogersville, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015, at the Foyer Assomption in Rogersville, at the age of 77.

She was the daughter of the late Jacques and Lina (Poirier) Martin. She was a homemaker and a member of St Francois de Salles Roman Catholic Church, in Rogersville.

She will be sadly missed by her two daughters Bernice Chiasson (David Banigan) of Toronto, ON, and Paulette Stewart (Barry) of Dartmouth, NS; two sisters Stella Hache of Rogersville, and Nicole Hachey of Saint Louis; one brother Gerald Martin of Tignish, PE; four grandchildren Jarod Banigan, Alexander Banigan, Patrick Stewart, and Ariel Stewart; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends from St Francois de Salles Roman Catholic Church, on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, from 1 to 4 pm. The funeral service will take place following the visitation, at 4 pm, with Father Doris LaPlante officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Diabetes Association, or to a memorial of one's choice.
