Barry Joseph Foran, of Miramichi, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, December 28, 2017, at the age of 58.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of Winifred (Wood) Foran and the late Winston Foran. He worked at Nunavik nickel mines, in Northern Quebec, and was a member of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Lesley (Tucker) of Miramichi; daughter Crystal Foran (Tony Arnold) of Fredericton; son Darcy (Devin Rae Barter) of Miramichi; four sisters Janice Desrosiers , Teresa (Gordon Baisley), Deanne (Keith Tucker), and Karen (David Mitchell) all of Miramichi; four brothers John (Patty) of Miramichi, Frankie (Darlene) of Miramichi, Randy (Jackie) of Calgary, and Winston (Janna) of Moncton; two grandchildren Alexander and Cali Rae; several nieces and nephews and his mother in law Beatrice Tucker.

He was loved by all that worked and enjoyed his hobbies along side him. He will be sadly missed by his work companions and snowmobiling buddies. He cherished his moments with his family and friends and found a special bond with his grandchildren.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his sister Sheila Murphy, brother in law Jean Desrosiers and father in law Aloysius Tucker

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Monday, January 1, 2018, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at 2 pm, from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Antonio Reyes officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital, the SPCA or charity of ones choice.
