Basil Albert Sullivan, of Gray Rapids, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, December 2, 2013, at the age of 82.

Born in Gray Rapids, he was the son of the late Melbourne and Doris (Kelly) Sullivan. He worked as a cook and as a truck driver, and was a member of the Miramichi Snow-Goers and the United Pentecostal Church, in Gray Rapids.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Hulda (Curtis) Sullivan; his daughter Jeannie (Farion) of Grand Prairie, AB; his son Lindsay (Holly) of Blackville; his brother Everett (Vada) of Gray Rapids; five grandchildren Sheldon, Neil, Melinda, Toby, and Melodie; 12 great grandchildren Whitney, Kayla, Cody, Kyle, Jaden, Tori-Lee, Nicole, Tobias, Janessa, Trinidy, Dominic, and Olivia; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Doug, Irving, Loman, and Sheldon, and his sister Lena Curtis.

The family will receive relatives and friends from the United Pentecostal Church, in gray Rapids, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Thursday, December 5, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013, at 2 pm, from the United Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Graham Russell officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

Donations made to the Palliative Care Unit, or to a memorial of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
