  • Mary Bernice (Manderville) Gillespie, of Renous, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, September 30, 2019, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 66.

    Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late John and Doris (Donovan) Manderville. She was a homemaker and did custodial work at the Renous Rec. Centre for 38 years. She loved the jam sessions and attended whenever she could and was also a member of St Bridget's Roman Catholic Church.

    She will be greatly missed by her daughter Rebecca Gillespie (Greg Donovan) of Renous; four sons Poncho (Stephanie) of Blackville, Courtenay (Staci) of Renous, Liam (Becky) of Riverview, and Bobby (Brittany) of Miramichi; one sister Ann (Stephen Dawson) of Renous; six brothers Duncan, David, Johnny (Lillian), Burtis (Mary Jane), Gary (Kathy) all of Renous and Ricky (Margaret Ann) of White Rapids; ten grandchildren Lindsey, Taylor, Kendra, Madison, Maguire, Peyton, Preston, Macaully, Sawyer, and Sheamus; two great granddaughters Lydia and Erin; as well as several nieces and nephews.

    Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Dori Close; two brothers Carmen Manderville and Bernard Manderville; sister-in-law Addie Manderville; brother-in-law Isaac Close; father-in-law Bobby Gillespie; nephew Cody Gillespie; and niece Vicky Close.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from St Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, Renous, on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, October 3, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 4, 2019, from St Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, at 11 am, with Father Bastarache officiating.
