Cecilia Mary (Vicaire) Ward, of Eel Ground, passed away surrounded by her family on Monday, November 11, 2019, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 61.

She was the daughter of the late David and Helen (Dedam) Vicaire and worked as an Early Childhood Educator at the Eel Ground Daycare. She was a member of the quilting club and St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church.

She will be greatly missed by her husband Joseph L. Ward of Eel Ground; her daughters Shelly Ward and Tanya Ward (Sandy Allison) both of Eel Ground; son Stewart Ward (Amanda) of Eel Ground; two sisters Theresa Ward and Linda Ward both of Eel Ground; two brothers Raymon Dedam of Burnt Church and Robert Vicaire of Eel Ground; seven grandchildren Krista, Charlotte, Dillin, Allison, Liana, Dakota, and Mathyis; great granddaughter Mlayah; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Marlene Vicaire and her brother Paul Vicaire.

The family will reeive reltives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 13, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 11 am, from St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Keoughan officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donation may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
