It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Michael Walsh, husband of Pat (Daley) Walsh, of Miramichi, NB.

Charles passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 10th, 2019 at the age of 70.

Born in Doyles Brook NB, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Josephine (Donovan) Walsh.

For over 40 years Charles worked as a pipefitter and was a member of the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters, Local 325.

Charles was a husband, dad and “Poppy” like none other.

He was the essence of kindness, generosity, loyalty and integrity.

He was a man of great faith.

Charles leaves this world indebted to no one and having wronged nobody.

His first passion was his family, whom he held above all else in his priorities.

They were his reason for being.

His most cherished moments were family gatherings and camping trips with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Charles was so humbly proud of any of his family’s accomplishments.

He was at peace working outdoors, whether splitting wood, tending to his garden or working on his waterfront property.

When he found a rare free moment, he would pass the time fishing, watching his Maple Leafs on TV or enjoying a Sunday drive with his wife.

Charles was a cherished friend to many.

His loss will leave an endless void in the lives of his friends and family.

In addition to his beloved wife Pat, he is survived by three children; Jonathan (Andrea) of Riverview, Justin (Jill) of Quispamsis, and Erica Craig (Kyle) of Fredericton; seven grandchildren Liam, Conor, Lara, Alexa, Olivia, Owen and Ava; one sister Ann St. John (Paul) of Orleans, ON and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Patricia (Delbert) Johnston of Miramichi.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, NB on Monday, May 13th, 2019 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 14th, 2019, at 2:00 pm, with Father Antonio Reyes officiating.

Burial will follow immediately after at Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.

There will be a reception held in the church basement.
