We regret to announce the passing of Christopher (Tabby) Patles, who passed away suddenly in Vernon, BC, on December 28, 2018, at the age of 48.
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Clarence A. and Jeannie Lillian (Morrison) Patles.
He will be greatly missed by his children Shaye Patles and Wabano Patles both of Ottawa,ON; three grandchildren Aryanna, Samqwan, and Meegwun also in Ottawa, ON; five brothers Audie Patles (Kari) of Eel Ground, NB, Frank Patles (Josie) of Eel Ground, John Sylliboy (Sadie) of Waycobah, NS, Mickey Sylliboy of Waycobah, NS, and Brian Marshall of Eskasoni, NS; three sisters Natasha Patles of Eel Ground, NB, Ashley Patles of Eel Ground, NB, and Michelle Sylliboy of Waycobah, NS; stepmother Theresa Francis of Eel Ground; as well as several nieces and nephews. Prayers for his children and grandchildren would be greatly appreciated during this difficult time.
Please join the family here in New Brunswick as we celebrate his life with a get together for all his family and friends in the area. Tabby was well known for his collection of Baseball caps, so please wear your favorite one in his honor. Tabby also loved to cook, so we kindly ask that you bring your favorite dish for a potluck.
The celebration will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 2 pm, from the Eel Ground Band Hall, 47 Church Rd, Eel Ground First Nation.
