Clarice Elizabeth Jane (Brander) Ashton, of Miramichi, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 76.
Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Muriel (McLean) Brander. She was a homemaker, a member of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, and a member of the Columbian Ladies. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards with her friends, and loved to travel.
She will be greatly missed by her husband John Ashton of Miramichi; daughters Tammy Ashton of Miramichi and Dawn Hare (Curt) of Whitneyville; son James (Heidi Newman-Ashton) of Moncton; two grandsons Jacob Ashton (Amy) and Cody Hare (Danica); great grandson Henry Ashton; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Thomas McLean.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Monday, April 24, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 10:30 am, at St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Godwin officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
