It is with broken hearts that the family of Claude Mercure announces his tragic passing in the early morning of Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the age of 47.

Born in Baie-Ste-Anne, he was the son of the late Eloi and Alma Mercure. Claude was a generous person who loved helping everyone around him. He was a fisherman and enjoyed living life at it's fullest. He was a no destination, music blared, smile to the face kind of guy. Claude loved being surrounded by his many friends and family members.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Cindy Manuel; daughter Kayla Mercure (Alexander Poitras); grandson Keegan McIntyre; brother Daniel Mercure; goddaughter Jenna Mercure; and good friend Christine Galley.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Nazaire and Nazarine Martin and paternal grandfather Alfred Mercure.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration in memory of Claude will be held by the family at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Claude’s memory.
