David Michael Curtis

David Michael Curtis, of Miramichi, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late William and Sadie (Astle) Curtis. He worked as an X-ray technician, and as an apartment manager, prior to his retirement. He was a member of St James Roman Catholic Church, in Sevogle.

He will be greatly missed by his daughter Michelle Toft of Miramichi; sons Dennis (Sandy) of Miramichi and Peter (Johann) of Quebec; four sisters Theresa, Ann Duffy (Late Charles), Peggy Thibodeau (Late Alfred) and Rosalie Curtis; one brother Andrew Curtis of C.I. Road; brother-in-law Edward Daley; sister-in-law Marion Curtis; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Susan (Ellis) Curtis; sisters Francis, Agnes, Betty, and Josephine; and brothers Hugh, Eddy, Frankie, Myles, Leo, Gerald, and Vincent.

Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St James Roman Catholic Church, in Sevogle, on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10 am, with Father Peter Igwe officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
