Dorothy Walsh

December 16, 1940 — January 28, 2025

Dorothy (Mullin) Walsh, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at Percy's Place, on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born in Sunny Corner, NB, she was the daughter of the late Perley and Gladys (Allison) Mullin. 

She will be greatly missed by her children Carla Walsh (Brian), Susan Stewart (Fred), Wilson Walsh and Brian Walsh (Late Debbie); sister Villa Atkinson; seven grandchildren Sterling Walsh, Angela Walsh, Todd Walsh, Jessica Stewart, Tessa Stewart, Bradley Walsh, and Samantha Walsh; chosen granddaughter who meant the world to her, Emma Savoie; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John Walsh; her best friend Fred Casey; sisters Ruby Stewart, Naida Harris, Carrie Smith, and Inez Murphy; brother Boyd Mullin (Late Joyce); grandson Travis Stewart; and great grandson Tyrell.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Losier for such wonderful care, the excellent nurses whom Mom grew to love and who showed her so much love and compassion, and all of the volunteers, staff, and everyone involved in such a wonderful place. A special thank you to Dorothy's close friend, Bernice Savoie, who visited with her, looked after her, and gave her such a great birthday. 

Visitation and funeral service will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home, at a later date, and interment will take place in Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to Percy's Place would be appreciated by the family.
