Dosithé Joseph Eugene Hachey, of Miramichi, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 59.
Born in Chatham, he was the son of Yvonne (Martin) Hachey and the late Francis Hachey. He worked at Scott's Peat Moss and was a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Stephanie (Fallon) Hachey of Miramichi; his mother Yvonne Hachey of Miramichi; three daughters Heidi Barrieau (Robert) of Miramichi, Natasha Hachey (Jonathan Allain) of Miramichi, and Alicia Walls (Jonathan Walls) of Blackville; five sisters Yvette Mazerolle (Gilles) of Rogersville, Francine Bates (Marvin) of Bancroft, ON, Madelaine Babineau (Francois) of Rogersville, Sarah Hachey (Les Saunders) of Millerton, and Jackie Hachey (John Carroll) of Nelson; three brothers Francis (Sue) of Brampton, ON, Isreal (Joe) (Connie) of Kitchener, Ontario, and Marcel (Cheryl) of Waiweg, NB; nine grandchildren Hannah, Landon, Cameron, Brody, Zander, Danilynn, Jennifer, Aliyah, and Lennyn; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his father, he was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, from 6 to 8 pm and on Thursday, March 17, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 18, 2022, from the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church, Chatham Head, at 11 am with Father John Beaumaster officiating.
Please note: although Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted, the family ask that you please wear your mask when attending the visitation and funeral service. Proof of vaccination is not required.
