Mrs. Edna Curtis, wife of the late Roy Curtis, of Gray Rapids, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010, at her residence, at the age of 84.

Born in Gray Rapids, she worked as a cook and was a member of The Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Blackville.

Edna is survived by four daughters Beulah,(James Underhill) of Barnettville, Ruby (Carl Hallihan) of Gray Rapids, Gloria (Ralph Jardine) of Gray Rapids, and Wendy (William Jardine) of Quarryville; six sons Wesley (Constance Coughlan) of Gray Rapids, George (Lorna Jean McWilliams) of Blackville, Clarence (Patricia Doyle) of Doyles Brook, Arnold (Margaret Walls) of Blackville, Darryl of Gray Rapids, and Boyd (Kimberly Kelly) of Gray Rapids; three sisters Myrna (Hazen Sullivan) of Gray Rapids, Carol (David Newman) of Derby, and Ida; four sister-in-laws Vera Curtis of Gray Rapids, Ella Gallan of Gray Rapids, Ruth Gallan of Doyles Brook, and Vearyl Mountain of Gray Rapids; 24 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers Leslie, Currie, Marshall, and Lyndon; and five sisters Beatrice Jardine, Daisy Curtis(sister in law), Mabel Curtis, Lena Curtis, and Rachel Curtis.

The family will receive relatives and friends from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church Slumber Room, in Blackville, on Tuesday, August 30, 2010, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Wednesday, September 1, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 2, 2010, from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Blackville, at 11 am, with Father Douglas Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in St Agnes Anglican Church Cemetery, in Gray Rapids.
