Edward "Edgar" Mullin, of Derby, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the age of 84.
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Thomas and Eliza (Amos) Mullin. He worked in the mines, was a truck driver, and also a woods worker, prior to his retirement.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Heather (Clapperton) Mullin of Derby; sons Richard Mullin (Toby) of Derby and Todd Mullin (Sarah) of Blackville; brother Perley Mullin (Linda) of Blackville; five grandchildren Brittany, Spencer, Danica, Riley, and Easton; sister-in-law Margaret Hammond (Late Ron) of Ontario; brothers-in-law Andrew Clapperton (Late Sandra) and Arnie McKinnon both of Ontario; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Barb Mills (Late David) and Margaret McLaughlin; and sister-in-law Joan McKinnon.
In keeping with Edgar's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA or to a memorial of one's choice.
