    1941-2017

    Eileen Lorraine (Sweeney) Walls, of Blackville, passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 76.
    Born in Toronto, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Thompson) Sweeney.
    She will be greatly missed by her husband Reg Walls of Blackville; son Brian (Shannon) of Kitchener, ON; daughter Brenda (Kenneth Booty) of Waterloo, ON; grandchildren Keaton and Abby Walls; brothers-in-law Allan Walls, Gordon Walls (Linda), and Keith Walls (Bernie); sisters-in-law Jean Heatherington, Helen Astle (Harold), and Sharon Gillespie (Gerald); as well as several nieces, nephews, step nieces and step nephews.
    Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by two stepbrothers Archie Openshaw and Alex Openshaw; sisters-in-law Ruth Walls and Thelma (Judy) Walls; and brother-in-law Robert Walls.
    The family received relatives and friends from St Andrew's United Church Hall, in Blackville, on Friday, September 15, 2017, from 7 to 9 pm and on Saturday, September 16, 2017, at St Andrew's United Church, from 10 am until the service. The funeral service was held at 11 am, from St Andrew's United Church, with Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Organist Jacqueline Allain led the congregation in the singing of the hymns “How Great Thou Art”, “Amazing Grace”, “Hallelujah”, and “Here I Am Lord”, and a eulogy was given by Shannon Walls. Internment took place in the church cemetery following the service.
    Pallbearers were Randy Walls, Jamie Walls, Billy Walls, Danny Walls, Aaron Walls, and Rocky Curtis.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Rambaran, Dr. Losier, Dr. Kpogo and the nursing staff at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, as well as Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home. Thanks to all of the staff for the care and support you gave our dearly beloved wife and mother. She will be forever in our hearts.
    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation, Mental Health, or to a memorial of one's choice.
