Eileen Murdoch

Eileen Mary (LeGresley) Murdoch, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 17, 2023, at the age of 75.

 

Born in Chatham Head, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Minnie (Russell) LeGresley. She was a homemaker and a member of St Andrew's Roman Catholic Church.

 

She will be greatly missed by her husband Leo Murdoch of Miramichi; children Brenda Lyons (Richard) of Miramichi and Bernard Murdoch (Krista) of Rothsay; sister Yvonne O'Brien (Bev Mills) of Saint John; sister-in-law Mary Jane Kingston (Lawrence) of Miramichi; grandchildren Tyler (Lydia-Dawn), Kelsey (Matthew), Katelyn (Josh), Brandon (Katelyn), and Kloe; also her special niece Anne Bracken and several nieces and nephews.

 

Mom loved to be with family. She enjoyed the simple things, just spending time with Dad. She loved knitting, bingo and most especially any time spent with her grandchildren. She was loved and will be dearly missed by us all.

 

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters Mary, May, Leona, Cecilia, and Charlene; and brothers Billy, Edward, Paul, Frank, and Roy.

 

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, July 20, 2023, from 4 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2023, at 11 am, at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Interment will take place in St Andrew's Roman Catholic Cemetery, Loggieville.

 

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Miramichi Food Bank, the Owen Murdoch Memorial Music Scholarship at Miramichi Valley High School or a charity of one's choice.
