Mrs. Eleanor Daley, wife of Reg Daley, of Douglastown, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2011, at her residence, at the age of 63.
She was the daughter of the late John and Theresa (Grennan) Bohan and worked as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of St Samuel's Roman Catholic Church and church choir.
Eleanor is survived by her husband Reginald Daley; one daughter Angela; two sons Bradley and Jason, all of Miramichi; eight sisters Mary Ronan of Nowlanville, Doreen O'Shea (James) of Miramichi, Shirley Burns (Raymond) of Bathurst, Mona Waye (Arthur) of the C.I. Road; Ruby Hutchison (Harry) of Douglastown, Joyce Gill of Barnaby River, Brenda Gustavson of Fredericton, and Lois Sherwood (John) of Norton; two brothers Blair and John, both of Barnaby River; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers in law Raymond Ronan, Kevin Gill, and Kenneth Daley.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Prayers will be held at 2:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, at 11 am, from St Samuel’s Roman Catholic Church, with Father Swift officiating.
The retired nurses are asked to please meet at the church at 10:30 to form an honour guard.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Hospital Auxiliary.
