Eleanor Joyce Peter Paul (Bee Dus Mus Say Quay), of Eel Ground, passed away at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at the age of 67.
Born in Red Bank, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Marie (Ginnish) Peter Paul. She worked as the Executive Director of the Rising Sun, and was also a Drug Councillor and Social Worker. Joyce was a board member for addiction services, and was involved with many different organizations such as being a Native Women Advocate Against Violence, and A.A. She was also a member of St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, in Eel Ground.
She will be sadly missed by her four daughters Kim of Eel Ground, Pam Hachey (Paul) of Eel Ground, Amy Romeo of Eel Ground, and Marlena Stemm (Robert Louis Martin) of Eel Ground and Burnt Church; two sons Richard of Big Hole Track, and John of Eel Ground; three sisters Carmel Faye Paul of Campbellton, Wanda Murphy of Eel Ground, and Karen Snow of Connecticut USA; two brothers Joseph Daryl of Connecticut, USA, and Dalton (Doc) Francis of Burnt Church; 23 grandchildren Genny, Brent, Roger, Clara, Billy Joe, Evan Ashleigh, Lala, Brittany, Jesse, Michael, Matthew, Christopher, Mathieu, Mercedes (Sadie), Amethyst, Winter Jewel, Angel, Gina, Charlene, Becky, Buz,and Derek; 9 great grandchildren Cherro, Elexis, Layla, Summer, Joe, Jax, Skyla, Nora,and Daylin. one godchild Clara Barnaby; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson Craig and her granddaughter Marie-Robert.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, from 6 to 9 pm, and on Sunday, December 8, 2013, from 2 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 9, 2013, at 2 pm, from St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, in Eel Ground, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.
