Ella Gallan, of Gray Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, at the age of 88.

Born in Gray Rapids, she was the daughter of the late George and Nellie Elizabeth (Coughlan) Curtis.

She worked in the Tobacco fields and at Rocky Brook Camps for spring cleaning.

Ella was a member of Saint Agnes Anglican Church, Gray Rapids.

She will be greatly missed by her three daughters Georgina (Murdock Burns) of Bartholomew, Aleatha (David Clarke) of White Rapids, and Rena (David Nash) of White Rapids; four sons Keith (Nancy), Clell (Brenda), Reid, and Dennis all of Gray Rapids; one sister Ruth Gallan of Doyle’s Brook; sister-in-law Alleen Curtis of Gray Rapids; 24 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Harry; her son George; three sisters Elva, Mabel, and Vearyl; and five brothers Elmer, Norris, Albert, Roy, and Arnold.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Blackville, on Thursday, January 31, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

The funeral service will be held from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 11 am, with Rev. Bob Barry officiating.
