Emile is survived by his wife Nellie (Hélène Bernard), by three daughters Geraldine Eberhardt of White Rock, BC; Irene Skolrood (Wayne) of Ladner, BC; Susan Keats (John) of London, Ontario; and three sons Bernard (Julie) of Miramichi, Paul (Joanne) of Moncton, Patrick (Hélène) of Fredericton; 13 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Emile was predeceased by one grandson Michael.
Born in Rexton, NB on March 6, 1916, Emile was the son of the late Urbain and Genevieve (Jaillet) Richard and was predeceased by his sister Beatrice and brothers Alphonse, Alex and Alfred (Freddy). Emile was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was a machinist by trade and worked for Fraser Pulp & Paper in Atholville, NB and later for the new mill in Newcastle starting in 1948 where he worked until his retirement from MTR Pulp & Paper.
