Eugenio Maria Cadeirinhas, of Escuminac and formerly of Ontario, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 88.

Born in Moura, Portugal, he was the son of the late Vincent and Theresa Cadeirinhas. He worked as a welder prior to his retirement. Eugenio was a big fan of soccer and loved his Benfica Club.

He will be greatly missed by his children Nelson Cadeirinhas (Cathy) of Escuminac, NB, Marina (Robert Killian) of St Catherine's, ON, and Alexandra (Anthony Nugent) of Oshawa, ON; the mother of his children Lenor Cadeirinhas; and six grandchildren Juliana, Nicole, Isabella, Kirsten, Nathaniel, and Matthew.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Urbano, and his sister Mariana, Natalia, and Ana.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place at Northumberland Crematorium. Interment will take place at a later date.
