Exilda "Dede" (Vienneau) Murray, of Beaverbrook, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday, March 21, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born in Beaverbrook, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Marguerite Vienneau. Prior to retirement, she worked as a caregiver and was a member of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, in Newcastle.
She will be greatly missed by her son Thomas Murray of Beaverbrook; seven sisters Mary Alphonsine MacDonald, Hilda O'Brien, Mildred Breau, Evangeline Bjurstrom, Pauline MacDonald, Eileen Foster, and Edna MacNeill; three brothers Aurele Vienneau, Lloyd Vienneau, and Mike Vienneau; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years William "Bill" John Murray; three sisters Melanie Vienneau, Simmone Vienneau, and Helen Blacquier; and three brothers Emile Vienneau, Vincent Vienneau, and Allard Vienneau.
At her request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place at St Mary's Roman Catholic Cemetery, at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
