George Campbell, of Warwick Settlement, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 86.
Born in Keenans, he was the son of the late Henry and Dorothy (Stewart) Campbell. He worked as a fisherman and guide for over 50 years before his retirement. He was an elder at St Paul's Presbyterian Church and also recognized in the Atlantic Salmon Museum Hall of Fame.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Mina Mae (Travis) Campbell; four sons Kevin (Tracey), James (Shelly), Malcolm, and Keith (Tammy) all of Warwick; one sister Ruth of Toronto; one brother Ralph of South Caines; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Lloyd, Arnold, and Harold.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 9 pm. There will be a private family service held on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at 11 am, from St Paul's Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Tom Ettinger officiating.
