Glenn Maxwell Tozer, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, November 17, 2023, at Percy's Place, at the age of 78.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Hubert and Margaret (Johnson) Tozer. He worked as a Purchasing Agent at Repap & UPM, prior to his retirement, and was a member of St James and St John United Church. Glenn was also a Lieutenant with the Newcastle Fire Department, and was a dedicated member for over 25 years.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Muriel (Shaddick) of Miramichi; son Todd Tozer (Tracey) of Miramichi; two daughters Kimberley Bryenton (Graham) of Moncton, and Lori Clair (Gilles) of Fredericton; two brothers Donald Tozer and Gerry Tozer, both of Bathurst; three brothers-in-law Winston Shaddick (Linda), Edward Shaddick (Hazel), and Glenn Shaddick (Charlene); sisters-in-law Shirley Shaddick and Bertha Shaddick; seven grandchildren Dustin, Madison, Grant, Trevor, Ellie, Joel, and Nicholas; beloved niece Natalie Gallivan and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers James, Blair and twin brother Kenneth; and sisters Margaret Ann and Shirley.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Sunday, November 19, 2023, from 4 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, at 11 am, at St James and St John United Church, with Rev. Alice Szemok officiating. Interment will take place in Miramichi Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Kruger, Dr. Abdelsalam, and the staff of the oncology departments in Miramichi and Moncton for the support and care over the past couple years. Also, a special thank you to the Dr. Losier and the staff at Percy’s Place for the kindness and compassion over the past few days.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made to Percy's Place would be greatly appreciated by the family.
