Gracie Ida Johnston, 86, passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, November 4, 2013 at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home.
Born in Blackville, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Zillah (Betts) Sutherland. Gracie was a Home Care Provider and a member of the Second North River Baptist Church and WMS group and former member of Doaktown Baptist Church.
She leaves her son, Richard and daughter in law, Connie of Calgary, AB to lovingly remember her, as well as grandson Garrett of Kamloops, BC, granddaughter Mackenzie of Calgary, AB, and great granddaughter Zoey; two sisters Esther Bagley (Rev. Angus) and Shirley Roy (David) and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Harry Johnston, parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
Richard and Connie would like to say a special "Thank you" to the staff at Spencer Memorial Care Centre for the excellent, loving care they provided to Gracie.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) visiting will be Thursday, November 7 from 7 - 9 p.m. The service will be held in the chapel Friday, November 8 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robb Hunt and Keith Lewis officiating. Interment at Doaktown Baptist Cemetery.
