Guy Aubé "The Photographer", of Miramichi, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence, on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the age of 78.

Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Onesiphore (Phore) and Mary (Roy) Aubé. His work as a Professional Photographer was also his passion. Many will remember him when looking back at their graduation or wedding pictures and perhaps recall him cracking a (sometimes inappropriate) joke, trying to capture that perfect smile. He also loved nature and scenery, with many prints hung in businesses throughout Miramichi. He was an active member of St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, a member of Miramichi Legion Branch #10, a volunteer firefighter, a member of the Men's Legion Pool League, and faithful member of the Kingsway Restaurant ‘Club’. He was also known to be able to hold his own at a card table and pool table back in the day. Guy loved the camp, the great outdoors and fishing. He instilled these passions first in his own sons, and then in his grandson. Nothing gave him greater joy, though, than his grandchildren, all of whom lovingly referred to him as “Grumpy”.

He will be greatly missed by his four daughters Kimberly Aube of Moncton, Shelley (Stan Drillen) of St Charles, Deborah (Richard Bethell) of Charlottetown, PE and Ashley Aubé of Miramichi; two sons Timmy Aubé (Maureen Picot) of Bathurst and Zachary Aubé (Tracy Gillespie) of Miramichi; five sisters Jacqueline Bender of Spokane, Washington, Paulette Jessop (Jim) of Newcastle, Camilla Hachey (Jean-Paul) of Bathurst, Sylvia Allison of Miramichi and Dale Hubbard of Miramichi; four brothers John (Snooks) (Hazel) of Ordway, Colorado, Roderique (Lucille) of Fredericton, Royce (Karen) of Miramichi and Danny (Tammy) of Barrie, ON; nine grandchildren Melissa Arsenault, Katlyn Drillen, Courtney Aubé, Kirstie Drillen, Ethan Bethell, Kiera Kelly, Charlotte Kelly, Lyla Buggie, and Paisley Buggie; special friend Joyce McAllister of Miramichi; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four sisters Ovilda, Rhéa, Carmen, and Théora; three brothers-in-law Frank Bender, Richard Allison, and Francis Hubbard; and his beloved dog Patsy.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday, July 15, 2021, from 4 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 16, 2021, at 10: 30 am, from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
