Mr. Ivan Breau, of Miramichi, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at the Moncton City Hospital, at the age of 68.

Ivan worked as a labourer and was a member of St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his longtime companion Doreen Sark; three sons Keith Sark of Eel Ground, Ivan Sark of Eel Ground, and Randy Henderson (Kristen) of Fort MacMurray, AB; five sisters Gertrude of Miramichi, Yvonne Labbe (Albert) of St Bruno, QB, Anita Breau (John) of Ancater, ON, Cathleen (Peter) of Hamilton, ON, and Julia Breau of Bathurst; three brothers Vincent (Margaret) of Miramichi, Teddy (Mary Rose) of Miramichi, and Solomon (Sue Walward) of Hamilton, ON; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents,Fred and Jan Breau, he was predeceased by his sister Jeanette Breau and brother Venance Breau.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Sunday, May 22, 2011, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 23, 2011, at 10 am, from St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, in Eel Ground, with Father Tom Fowler officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St Joachim's Church, Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
