Mr. James McNamara, husband of the late Irma (Kelly) McNamara of Miramichi, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 12th, 2019 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 91.

Born in Nova Scotia he was the son of the late William and Clara McNamara.

James was a retired Custodian and attended Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

He is survived by his step daughter, Germaine Marie of Montréal, Quebec,3 sisters Stella Sampson of Louisdale N.S. Hilda Bourgeois and Joan Campbell of Halifax,2 Brothers Gerald and Harold of Halifax, three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, William and Clara McNamara and his wife, Irma (Kelly) McNamara on June 19th, 2016, and one grandson.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, NB, on Wednesday, May 15th, 2019, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm only.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at 11:00 am at Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father John Fraser officiating.

Burial will be in the Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery at a later date.
