James Ramsay

James "Jim" “Buster” Kenneth Ramsay, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the age of 77.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Dempsey and Edith Ramsay his birth parents raised by the late Maclean and Pansy Stewart who had three children David, William, and Elizabeth. Prior to his retirement, he worked as a taxi driver, worked at the Marina, and worked for Pepsi-Cola.

He will be greatly missed by his children Christine Chalhoun (Bill Murdock), Lynn Ann Geikie (Gordon Wright), Larry Chalhoun and Timmy Chalhoun; and three grandchildren Jason, Jonathan, and Keisha and one sister Childa MacDonald who had three children Kevin, Keith and Bobbi J.

Besides his both sets of parents, he was predeceased by his wife Mary Ramsay, and his grandson Devin O'Donnell.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11 am, with Father Allison Mahoney officiating. Interment will take place in St Mark's Cemetery.
