It is with profound disbelief and great sadness that we announce the passing of Jean (John) Eudes McGraw.
There are few men as strong, hard-working and big-hearted as John. He embodied what others referred to when they speak of men of true grit; a man of invulnerable strength and the embodiment of simplistic and humble virtues. His fortitude, compassion and perseverance will endure as his greatest characteristics. His spirit will remain legendary in the hearts of those who truly knew him; especially his daughter Tracey and his grandson (and best buddy) Will.
John was predeceased by his wife Florence (Ramsay) McGraw, son Darryl McGraw, parents Louise and Peter McGraw brothers Norbert (survived by Annette), Fred (Jeanne), John (Lydia), Joe (Leona), sister Mary Jane and infant brother. He is survived by his four daughters; Tracey (Bruce), Guylaine, Wanda and Theresa, siblings Athelda (late husband Clarence), Eugene (late wife Cecile) as well as his grandchildren; Will, Michael, Ryan, Derek, Daisha, and Kira and great grandchildren Greyson and Brenden.
Papa was a fine man with a rugged face, with creases around his eyes that proved the great joy he had in his lifetime; many of which were spent with his beloved wife Florence and their extended family of campers at The Enclosure Campground. Though not one to express much emotion, he loved to tell stories that spanned his entire life. His memory was impeccable. He was a man of quiet action; an outdoor man who embraced a settled life of routine, hard work and generosity. The Enclosure Campground, that he lovingly cultivated and cared for spanning nearly 30 years, the numerous skills he taught his daughter Tracey (mostly in construction), the epic stories of his youth, the love for his family and the many cheers to his friends, will remain his legacy. He was a devout Catholic who attended mass every week, lit candles and prayed for those he loved and was a great supporter of fall church suppers. We will love and miss him always.
