Joseph Allain DesRoches, of C.I. Road, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 83.

Born in Barryville, he was the son of the late Frank and Amelia (Vautour) DesRoches.

He worked as a carpenter, and was a member of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

He was also a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus Father Dixon Council #4886.

He will be greatly missed by his partner Marilyn Richardson; daughter Gilda Lee of Miramichi; sister Marie of Miramichi; several sisters-in-law; and especially loved and appreciated by Marilyn's family and his many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Ruth; two sisters Susan and Hazel; and six brothers Johnny, Henry, Benny, Holden, Leonard and George.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, on Thursday, February 7, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

A memorial service and burial will be held at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, in Barryville, at a later date.
