Joseph “Yvon” Losier, of Miramichi, passed away on August 2, 2019, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 88.
Born in Tracadie, NB, he was the son of the late Georges and Azilda (Ferguson) Losier. He was a Medic in the Air Force for 36 years, and a veteran of the Korean War.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Iona (LeBouthillier) Losier; three daughters Denise (Bill Legui) of Calgary, Johanne Losier of St Stephen’s, and Nannette (Chris Noël) of Douglasfield; two sons Ronnie (Lynn Hébert) of St Bruno, and Randy (Marguerite) of St Andrew’s; 12 grandchildren Monique, Nicholas, Justin, Krista, Lisa, Kim, Andrea, Francis, Tristan, Jared, Aaron, and Nicolette; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three brothers Jean-Emard, Benoit, and Rhéal.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, August 8, 2019, from 1 to 3 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation, at 4 pm, from St Michael’s Basilica, with Father John Keoughan officiating.
As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross.
