Joyce Margaret (Dick) Mullin, of Sunny Corner, passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at the age of 83.
Born in Douglastown, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Lydia (Williston) Dick. She worked as a telephone operator before devoting her time to raising her daughters.
She will be greatly missed by her daughters Wendy Mutch (Carmen) of Sunny Corner and Lynn Jardine (Ford) of Lower Derby; her granddaughter Whitney Ryder; sisters-in-law Villa Atkinson, Dorothy Walsh, and Iona Dick; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Boyd Mullin; sister Lois Pemberton; ad brother Robert Dick.
The family received relatives and friends from Boom Road Pentecostal Church, on Monday, February 13, 2023, from 4 to 8 pm. The funeral service was held at Boom Road Pentecostal Church, on Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at 2 pm, with Pastor Jody Holmes officiating. Opening prayer: Pastor Jody Holmes followed by congregational worship songs: “When we all get to heaven”, “Majesty”, “You are worthy of it all”. The eulogy was given by Whitney Ryder followed by Blair Baisley singing “Serenaded By Angels”. The Scripture reading Psalms 91 by Shawna Mackenizie, Congregational song “My Wonderful Lord” followed by “I Bowed On My Knees And Cried Holy” song by Blair Baisley. The message was given by Pastor Jody Holmes followed by Pastor Holmes singing “That Sounds Like Home To Me”.
The Active Pallbearers were: Douglas Atkinson, Leonard Wood, Patrick Ryder, Laurie Curtis, Thomas Harrigan, and Raymond Mutch. Honorary Pallbearers were members of the prayer group Pauline Myles, Linda Mullin, Kathy Stewart, Shirley Matchett, Ethel Baisley, and Carlyn MacDonald.
Interment will take place in Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery at a later date.
