Karla Lynn Brophy, of Blackville, passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, at the age of 50.

Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of Roland (Dode) Walls and the late Ida (Grady) Walls. Karla worked as a secretary for Brophy Trucking and was a member of St Andrew's United Church, in Blackville.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Paul Brophy; father Dode Walls; brother Randy (Joy); niece Charity Walls; and nephews Jonathan Walls, Matthew Whitenect, and Noah Whitenect.

Besides her mother, Karla was predeceased by one sister Sue Walls.

The family will receive relatives and friends from St Andrew's United Church Hall, on Saturday, October 9, 2010, from 7 to 9pm, and on Sunday, October 10, 2010, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010, from St Andrew's United Church in Blackville, at 2 pm, with Rev. Penny Postlethwaite officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association, or to a memorial of one's choice.
