Lorna Doone (Plaxton) McClenaghan

January 8, 1964 — April 24, 2025

Lorna McClenaghan passed away on April 24, 2025, surrounded by family at Percy's Place, following a short illness. Lorna was born in Newcastle, N.B. to Charles and Florence Plaxton.

Lorna was married for almost 28 years to Rick McClenaghan.

Lorna is survived by husband Rick, siblings Frank Plaxton (Linda) of Brandon, Manitoba, Dwight Plaxton (Brenda) of Victoria, B.C., Betty Weatherby (Dave) of Sussex, N.B., Chuck Plaxton (Donna) of Lower Derby, N.B., Joanne Plaxton (Ed) of Lower Derby, N.B., Evelyn Fraser (Brian) of N.S.; sister-in-law Tina Thomas of Winnipeg, MB, and brother-in-law Rob McClenaghan of Miramichi; and several nieces and nephews.

Lorna was predeceased by her parents Chuck and Florence Plaxton and her in-laws Tex and Barb McClenaghan.

There will be no visitation.

The funeral service will be held at The Point Church, 582 King George Hwy, on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm. Private internment will be at the Lower Derby Baptist Church at a later date.

A light reception will be held at the church following the service at which time the family will welcome family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Percy's Place would be appreciated by the family.
