Margaret Winifred (Mullin) Blackmore, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 94.
Born in Hilltop, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (Baisley) Mullin. She retired from the Miramichi Hospital in 1993, and was a member of St Stephen's United Church, in Red Bank.
She will be greatly missed by her children Vernon Blackmore (Sharon) of Cassilis, Margaret "Peggy" Matchett (Late Mick) of Red Bank, Sherry Blackmore of Cassilis, Edward "Ed" Blackmore (Trish) of Grand Prairie, and Scott Blackmore (Paula) of Cassilis; 14 grandchildren Debbie, Lisa, Bob, Kirby, Rocky, Natalie, Allison, Tanya, Jeremy, Taylor, Joey, Brandon, Dustin, and Sarah; 17 great grandchildren Ashley, Kyle, Alicia, Colton, Erica, Dylan, Kevin, Lexi, Devon, Kassidy, Daniel, Katie, Kyra, Bailey, Cody, and Peyton; five great great grandchildren Addison, James, William, Sloan, and Owen; two sisters-in-law Mary Mullin of Scarborough and Betty Mullin of Miramichi; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Daniel Blackmore; son Joseph (Late Ann); sisters Opal Dwyer, Bertha Smith, and Charlene Ward; brothers Edward, Joseph, Frederick, Weldon "Bud", and Ronald; granddaughters Freida and Tammy; and great grandson Lindsay.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 2 pm, at St Stephen's United Church, in Red Bank, with Rev. David Allan officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, or to St Stephen's United Cemetery Fund.
