Marilyn Jean McKay, of Miramichi, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020, at the Moncton City Hospital, at the age of 73.

Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Vivian (Walsh) Sutherland. Marilyn worked at Canadian Tire before her retirement.

She will be greatly missed by her son Douglas Burton of Moncton; her companion Del Dupuis; one brother Fred Sutherland; one granddaughter Rachel Burton; and three stepsons Robert McKay, David McKay and Michael McKay She was a loving "second mother" to Bertha Taylor and will be cherished by her cousin and best friend Gail Walsh, and best friends Mary Singleton and Rita Carroll.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband William (Bill) McKay; two brothers Harold Sutherland and Gary Sutherland; and her grandson Garret Burton.

At Marilyn's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St Mary's Restoration Fund or to St Mary's Cemetery Fund.
