  • Mrs. Marina Hamilton, wife of the late Harold Hamilton, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 76.

    Marina was the daughter of the late Robert and Beatrice (Travis) Taylor. She worked as a school bus driver and was a member of Little Southwest Baptist Church.

    She is survived by three daughters Kathy of Miramichi, Susan of Whitby, Ontario, and Sherri (David Montie) of South Carolina; three sons Joe (Lisa) of Thunder Bay, Ontario, James of Fort Frances, Ontario, and Dan of Miramichi; four sisters Eileen Stewart of Matthew Settlement, Gladys Foran of Fredericton, Bernice (Robert Matchett) of Sillikers, and Jean of St Catharines, Ontario; one brother James Taylor (Elsie) of Miramichi; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides her parents and husband, Harold, she was predeceased by four brothers Billy, Art, Peter, and Max.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday, July 21, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2011, from Little Southwest Baptist Church, in Sillikers, at 2 pm, with Rev. Raymond Pitcher officiating.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the SPCA, or to a memorial of one's choice.
