Mary Carmel Anne Furlong, 52, of Upper Blackville, NB, passed away on Friday, October 07, 2011 at her residence. Carmel was born in Miramichi, NB, on January 16, 1959, daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Keenan) Furlong.

Carmel is survived by her spouse, Todd Jardine, Upper Blackville, NB, sons; Jeffrey (Michelle), Winnipeg, MB, Bradley (Jess), Pine Falls, MB, Ryan (Krystal), Miramichi, NB, Evan (Lety), Upper Blackville, NB, Grandchildren; Brook, Cassidy, Skylar, Devon, Korbin, sisters; Elizabeth Storey, Howard, NB, Mary Preston (Jimmy), Miramichi, NB, Florence Ann Preston, Miramichi, NB, Elsie Jardine, Saint John, NB, Judy Kennedy (Terry), Clark’s Corner, NB, Helen Furlong (Pat), Howards, NB, Kathy Colford (Ricky), Howards, NB, brothers; Francis Furlong (Bridget), Blackville, NB, Paul Furlong (Connie), Upper Blackville, NB, Pat Furlong, Blackville, NB, Leonard Furlong, Fort McMurray, AB, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides her parents, Carmel was predeceased by a son; Brent, brothers; Willis and Junior.

Visitation will be held at the Father AA McKinnon Hall, Blackville, NB on Sunday, October 9, from 7 to 9 and Monday, October 10, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 11 from St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church at 11 AM with Fr. Joseph Okoko officiating. Interment will be held at Our Lady Mount Carmel Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to Extra Mural Hospital Program or to the Oncology Department of the Miramichi Hospital.

Vigil Prayers will be Monday Evening at 7:30 PM
