  • Mary Elizabeth (Paul) Young passed away at her residence surrounded by her family, on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the age of 64.

    Born on March 9, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Mary (Metallic) Paul. She worked as a home health care worker before her retirement and was a member of Burnt Church Elders and St Ann's Roman Catholic Church.

    She will be sadly missed by her four daughters Pauline Young Matchett (Tim) of Derby Junction, Tina Young of Red Bank, Samantha Young of Rumford, ME, and Jennifer Skarin of Hudson, MA; two sons Phillip Young of Portland, ME, and Richard Young of Rumford, ME; one brother Austin Paul of Burnt Church; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

    Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Phillip Young; four brothers John Paul, Frank Paul, Stafford Paul, and Austin Paul; and one sister Francis Paul Isaac.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from her residence, 44 Diggle Point Road, Burnt Church, on Tuesday, March 5, 2013, and on Wednesday, March 6, 2013. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St Ann's Roman Catholic Church, on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at 10:30 am, with Father Mahoney officiating.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or to a memorial of one's choice.
