Mary Catherine "Molly" (Connell) Worrell, of Miramichi, passed away at Percy's Place, on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at the age of 91.
Born home at the ranch in Douglasfield, or God's country as she would refer to it, to the late Albert and Bernetta (Walsh) Connell.
She worked at McDonalds Hardware when she first was married to the love of her life Bunny. After Brian and Dale were born, realizing what a handful the two were, decided to stay home and care for them.
She was the best grandmother to Tara and Bradley, baking little pies and frogs and making sure there was fresh play dough in the cupboard. When her great grand children came along, Madison and Reid, nothing changed. It didn’t matter her age she would still be down on the floor playing. She definitely had us all wrapped around her finger.
Holiday family meals were the most important to her. No matter what, there would be a turkey with the most amazing stuffing in the oven and plenty dessert options to go around. Turkey dinners are not going to be the same. Nobody does stuffing like Nanny.
Molly was a member of Saint James and Saint John United Church where she would attend regularly with Bunny but would always make sure to sit as far back as she could.
Later in life she became a bit more stubborn and didn’t want to leave the house; her comfort zone. No matter how hard she tried, Brian, Dale and Valerie wouldn’t take no for an answer. Taking her for drives back to “Gods country”. Her last drive was back to the ranch to visit with Linda who always put a smile on her face.
She will be greatly missed by her sons Dale Worrell (Valerie) and Brian Worrell (Glaiza) both of Miramichi; sister Linda Shaddick (Winston) of Douglasfield; brothers-in-law Edward Shaddick (Hazel) and Reg Johnston; sister-in-law Leigh Connell; grandchildren Tara Worrell (Lance McMillan) and Brad Worrell; great grandchildren Madison and Reid; and several nieces and nephews.
Family would like to send out a special thank you to the staff of Percy’s Place for the exceptional care Molly received while her time there. You are all truly amazing
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Stewart "Bunny" Worrell; brothers Burton Connell, Douglas Connell, and Eldon Connell; sisters Mae Stewart, Gladys Lynch, Audrey Bemister, Jean Godfrey, Shirley Foley, Marilyn Shaddick, and Joyce Johnston; brothers-in-law George "Robert" Worrell, and Herbert Trevors; and sisters-in-law Dean (Worrell) Trevors, Annabell Wilson (Rev.
