It is with great sadness that the family of Mary (Shea) Perron announces her passing, which occurred peacefully on Monday, May 3, 2021, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. She was 75.
Mary was born in Point May, Newfoundland, May 28, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Annie (Hewitt) Shea. Mary left Point May and moved to Labrador as a young adult, it was there she met the love of her life. They soon married and started a family. They eventually moved to Miramichi where they raised their children and developed meaningful friendships. Mary stayed close with her family in Newfoundland and cherished her visits back home. Mary loved her family beyond measure and was adored by all who knew her. She was an incredible and loving wife, mother, sister, friend, 'Auntie', 'Grandma' and 'Nana'. She was always ready to have fun, loved to make people laugh and above all lived her life to the fullest. She loved gardening, baking, singing, reading and creating a welcoming home for her family and friends.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Lucien Perron of Miramichi; daughter Chantal (Steve Poole) of Miramichi ; son Roddy (Darlene) of Miramichi ; three sisters: Simone of Miramichi , Margaret (Bob) of Point May, Newfoundland, and Edith of Marystown, Newfoundland; one brother Gordon Shea (Cecilia) of Fortune, Newfoundland; five grandchildren Jenna (Richard Martin), Kelsie (Tyler McKay), Jeremy, Zachary, and Zoe; two great grandsons Chase and Calix; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Walter, John, Maurice, Mike, and Terrance; and one sister, Pauline.
At her request, there will be no visitation. A mass of Christian burial will take place on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 3 pm, from St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Anthony Das Papu officiating.
As expressions of sympathy, donations made to a local charity of one's choice would be appreciated by the family.
