Melissa (Missy) Joyce (White) Anderson, wife of the late Ian Anderson, of Miramichi, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2012, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 76.

Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late Addison and Gladys (Matchett) White. Prior to retirement, she worked at the Newcastle school board office.

She was much loved and will be sadly missed by her son Danny and his wife Betty of Miramichi; her two daughters Stephanie of Oakville, ON and Paula of Toronto, ON; her four sisters June of Yellowknife, NT, Helen of Hamilton, ON, Alberta of Delta, BC, and Lynn (Brian) of Sault Ste Marie, ON; her four granddaughters Vanessa and Katelyn Anderson, and Samantha and Danielle McGill; her great grandson Caalum; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her two brothers Ronald and Stephen.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Friday, November 16, 2012, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, November 17, 2012, at 11 am, with Rev. John Frasier officiating. Interment will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Miramichi Food Bank, or to a memorial of one’s choice.
