Mr. Merritt Moody, of Lyttleton, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at his residence, at the age of 60.
Born in Newcastle, he was the son of Harold Moody and the late Isabelle (Johnston) Moody.He was an entrepreneur and a member of Lyttleton Pentecostal Church.
Merritt is survived by his wife Dawn (Mutch); four daughters Tina Moody-Curran (Gordon Curran) of Yukon, Stephanie (Alphonse "Poncho" Gillespie) of Blackville, Bernice "Dawn" (Patrick Langlois) of Montreal, and Chrissie Moody (Michael Mattinson) of Hamilton; one son Tyson (Terra Falconio) of Windsor, ON; three sisters Elaine (James Crawford) of Blackville, Norma Jean (Luigi Collu) of Ontario, and Leslie Moody of British Columbia; two brothers Peter (Mary Esther) of Blackville, and Wilmot "Billy" (Pam) of Whitecourt, AB; seven grandchildren Chloé, Nickolas, Maguire, Adam, Ethan, Macaully, and Taryn; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his infant daughter April.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Lyttleton Pentecostal Church, on Wednesday, may 11, 2011, from 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday, May 12, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2011, at 2 pm, from Lyttleton Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Vaden Sutherland officiating.
