Miss Mamie Coughlan, of Blackville, passed away at the Miramichi Hospital on Sunday April 8, 2007 at the age of 77. Born in Blackville she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Sturgeon) Coughlan. She was a teacher and taught at the Vocational School in Saint John N. B. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church in Blackville.

Mamie is survived by one sister Margaret O’Neil of Fredericton; one brother Robin (Ardyth) of Lakeville Corner N.B.; one brother –in-law Robert Sturgeon; one sister-in-law Grace Coughlan and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two sister’s Myrna Coughlan and Pauline Sturgeon; three brothers Leland, Elgee, Aubrey and his wife Laura.
