Miss Myrna Coughlan, of Blackville passed away at the Miramichi Hospital on Monday October 16, 2006 at the age of 84 after a lenghy illness.

Born in Blackville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sarah (Sturgeon) Coughlan. She was a teacher and taught in various schools in N.B., the last being at the Saint John High School, and she was also a high school supervisor for then district 10. Myrna was an honorary life member of the retired teachers and attended St. Andrew’s United Church in Blackville.

Myrna is survived by two sister’s Margaret O’ Neil of Fredericton, Mamie Coughlan of Blackville; one brother Robin (Ardyth) of Lakeville Corner N.B. and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by one sister Pauline Sturgeon; three brothers Leland, Aubrey and Elgee.
