Mr. Clark William Gilks, of South Esk., passed away at the Dr. Georges-L- Dumont Hospital on Sunday October 21, 2007 at the age of 67.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late John and Velma (Clarke) Gilks. He owned and operated his truck for 33 years. He was a member of the Newcastle Lions Club and attended St. James Presbyterian Church.
Clark is survived by his wife Blanche (MacDonald) Gilks; daughters Tanya Fafard (Dan) of Lashburn Sask., Tammy Shackleton (James) of Paradise Valley Alberta, Samantha Mc Mullen (Neil) of Moosomin Sask.; son, John Gilks (Charlene) of Carlyle Sask.; daughter-in-law Christa Stewart of Pembrooke Ont.; sisters Catherine Mullin of Lower Derby N.B., Marilyn Silliker (Jim Heffernan) of Dartmouth N.S.; brother Edward (Faye) of South Esk.; mother-in-law Edith MacDonald; grandchildren Michael Brigley, Ashley Brigley, Brittany Stewart, Sarah Stewart, Riley Gilks, Ashley Gilks, Tucker McMullen, Montana McMullen, Samantha Shackleton, MacKenzie Shackleton, Hunter Shackleton, Isaiah Fafard, and Alivia (Allie) Fafard. Besides his parents he was predeceased by one daughter Debra Brigley; one son Allan Stewart and one brother-in-law Robert Mullin.
